IPNet - CoNeT Intensive Programme

IPNeT is an LLP ERASMUS Intensive Programme closely connected with CoNeT Project (Co-operative Network Training). Its topic is Modern Data Transfer Standards for Industrial Automation. The main goal of IPNeT is to train participants how to design, build, configure, program and troubleshoot industrial automation systems utilising different industrial networks for data exchange. IPNeT is a short-term intensive course gathering students from several universities form Europe.

The IP takes place at AGH University of Science and Technology campus in Kraków (Cracow) from 13^th till 26^th of February 2011.

On this site all the information regarding Accommodation, Timetable and Curriculum of the IP will be posted.

Kraków is one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in Poland. All guests are encouraged to explore its charming landmarks during free time. In Useful Links section there's a lot of information helpful in planning trips and excursions.

There are six universities engaged in the IPNeT Intensive Programme:

• AGH University of Science and Technology (Kraków, Poland) - the coordinator of IPNeT and the host of the 1^st edition of the programme (IPNeT 2011)

• Karel de Grote-Hogeschool (Antwerp, Belgium)
• Ruse University "Angel Kanchev" (Bulgaria)
• Technological Educational Institute of Crete (Heraklion, Greece)
• Yildiz Technical University (Istanbul, Turkey)

Transportation

If you're taking a flight that arrives at Krakow Airport, here you'll find information regarding transportation to the city centre.

If your flight arrives at Katowice Airport check out information here.

Note that the currency in Poland is PLN (1EUR ~ 4PLN), Taxi is about 60PLN from the airport to Reymonta St., and Bus 3PLN. In some Taxi you can pay with credit card.

Accommodation

Teachers taking part in the CoNeT IP will be accommodated at the Polonez Hotel.
The hotel is located on the AGH campus, 15 minutes walking distance to the Old Town.

Students comming from abroad are going to be accommodated in a student two-star hotel Nawojka located in the immediate vicinity of the AGH campus.
There is a pleasant cafeteria right in the hotel which serves breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

Curriculum

• Module 1 - Basis of Ethernet based IO systems
• Module 2 - Profinet on Siemens platform
• Module 3 - Profinet on Phoenix Contact platform
• Module 5 - Ethernet/IP on Allen-Bradley platform
• Module 7 - Wireless technology in automation systems

Reqiurements

An applicant is required to:

• be graduate student
• have a good command of spoken and written English
• be able to work and live in a multicultural team
• know the basics of PLC configuration and programming
• know the basics of PC usage

Enrolment

Each participating university is responsible for recruiting their students.

Przyjmowanie zgłoszeń na kurs intensywny od studentów AGH zakończyło się 27 stycznia 2011 r.
W wyniku testu przeprowadzonego 3 lutego 2011 r. wyłoniono sześciu studentów, którzy wezmą udział w kursie.
